The 16th Annual Dickens On Main
Every year, the town I am from holds an annual event celebrating the Christmas season called, Dickens on Main. It is held the weekend of Thanksgiving and is the perfect opportunity for families to get into the Christmas spirit and to get a head start on their gift lists by shopping in the stores along the Hill Country Mile.

This is the third year that I have been an event photographer for this festival and even though it is a grueling undertaking for the media team of BoerneSpotlights.Com, it is one of my favorite events to document. It spans over two days of activities, concerts, pictures with Santa, shopping, eating and ringing in the season in the style of Charles Dickens’, “A Christmas Carol”.

There are many things that happen over the two-day event. The Mayor of Boerne officially kicks the celebration off with the lighting of the Christmas Tree in the town square.

Then he and his wife, tour the town greeting people and even posing to take a picture…or few.
